Pixies - Rock Music
This was the first Pixies song I ever heard when I was 14 or so. A local band used to cover it and I promptly went out and bought Bossanova. I remember being disappointed that the rest of the songs weren’t as noisy as this.

Handsome - Needles
I don’t expect many people to be into this. Handsome was a post-hardcore supergroup boasting members from Helmet, Quicksand, Jets to Brazil, and Cro-Mags. I also really like “Ride Down” from their self-titled and only album, which is way more melodic (you’ll see what I mean around 1:15). Damn, someone needs to start a post-hardcore tumblr.
